Boston, MA – The Chargers took on the Emmanuel College Saints for a Saturday noon matchup in the capital city of Massachusetts.

Wright scored about 90 seconds into the second quarter for Emmanuel. The Chargers bounced back quickly as Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, NH) scored less than a minute later. The momentum continued as Lauren Vignola (Ringwood, NJ) assisted Reese Holcomb (Essex Junction, VT) for the second Charger goal of the game. Finlayson assisted Grace Joly (Windham, ME) about halfway through the quarter. Anna Nichols scored for Emmanuel with 5:25 left in the half. Before the half ended, Vignola scored a Charger goal. The Saints led 5-4 going into the halftime break.

Wright and Avery Robillard each scored a goal for Emmanuel in the third quarter to give the Saints a three-goal advantage. Finlayson assisted Elena Bronson (Monkton, VT) for the Chargers to cut the deficit to two goals. Marschitz scored for Emmanuel with 3:14 left in the third quarter,

Early in the fourth quarter, Emilia Ferraro scored for Emmanuel (assisted by Wright) to give the Saints a 9-5 lead. The Chargers responded with Vignola and Finlayson each scoring a goal in the next five minutes. With 5:41 to go in the game, Vignola scored again for the Chargers. Emmanuel led 9-8 with 5:41 left in the game. Stein scored for Emmanuel, as the Saints won the game 10-8.

Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, NH) picked up five ground balls, and Finlayson won eight draw controls for the Chargers. Addison Glavin (Andover, MA) made four saves for Colby-Sawyer.

The Chargers will next play Norwich on Tuesday at 7pm in Northfield, Vermont.
