Colby-Sawyer College Athletics

Franklin, MA – The Chargers took on Dean College for a GNAC matchup on Wednesday in Franklin, Massachusetts. 

Rapid Recap: 

• Mallory Blackwell (Fleming Island, FL) was the starting pitcher for the Chargers, and Bryce DeGasparre was the starting pitcher for the Bulldogs. 

• Kaylee Scott (Virginia Beach, VA) hit an RBI single in the top of the 1st to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. 

• Leah Chamberlain tied the game up with an RBI single for Dean. Liana Silva hit an RBI double to give the hosts a 2-1 lead. 

• Larissa Daigle (Fort Kent, ME) scored in the 2nd for Colby-Sawyer. 

• Sydnee Ramos hit an RBI sac fly for Dean in the bottom of the 2nd. 

• Ramos hit an RBI double in the 4th to give Dean a 4-2 lead. 

• Kyla Angell (North Providence, RI) cut the deficit to one run in the 4th, with an RBI double. 

• Daigle hit an RBI single in the 6th to tie the game up 4-4. 

• Ari Amaral hit a 2 RBI double in the 6th for Dean. 

• Blackwell tripled in the top of the 7th for the Chargers. Two Chargers scored on the play to make the score 6-6. 

• Ashlee Mastrodomenico hit an RBI double in the 8th for Dean. 

• Dean won the game 7-6. 

Inside the Numbers: 

• Blackwell pitched the whole game for the Chargers and threw four strikeouts. 

• Angell and Blackwell both had two hits for the Chargers. 

• Silva was 3-4 from the plate for the Bulldogs.
