New London, NH – The Chargers hosted a GNAC doubleheader against Albertus Magnus on Saturday. Simon Keary (Penacook, NH) and Mike Hogan (Piermont, NH) both earned wins on the mound as the Chargers went 2-0 on the day.

Chaves hit another RBI single in the 4th to give the Chargers their first lead of the game. Noah Staffier (Beverly, MA) earned an RBI as Chaves scored. Three more Chargers scored in the inning, as Devin Montalvo (Coram, NY) hit a 2 RBI single, and Sean Roeger (Salem, NH) scored a run.

Joey O'Hara scored a four-run home run in the 5th for the Falcons, to tie the game up 5-5. In the bottom of the 5th, Dylan Watson (Byfield, MA) scored for the Chargers to take a 6-5 lead. Chaves hit a 2 RBI single to bring the lead to three runs. Montalvo continued the scoring streak for the Chargers with an RBI single. Eric Galarza hit an Albertus Magnus RBI single in the 6th.

McMannus, Keary, and Jared Schmitt (Surry, NH) all pitched for the Chargers in Game 1. Keary earned the win, and Schmitt earned the save.

Galarza and Noah Grosso earned RBIs for the Falcons in the 1st inning. Chaves hit a 2 RBI double for Colby-Sawyer in the 1st. The Chargers continued to score in the inning as McLeer scored a run, Staffier hit an RBI single, Montalvo hit an RBI double, Janai Cruz (Manchester, NH) hit an RBI fly out, and Watson hit an RBI single. The Chargers led 7-2 after the 1st. McLeer stole home in the 2nd inning. In the 3rd inning, Watson hit an RBI single, Watson scored, and Chaves hit an RBI double. The Chargers led 11-2.
