New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer softball team will play their first games of the GNAC on Sunday at Lasell University for a doubleheader. 

The Chargers played the first two games in program history on Tuesday, as they played Anna Maria College. The AMCATS won both games, but the Chargers remained resilient throughout. Kyla Angell (North Providence, RI), Emma Baker (Seekonk, MA), and Mallory Blackwell (Fleming Island, FL) each had two hits in game 2 on Tuesday. Blackwell also stole two bases in the game. The Chargers combined for eight hits and had one double and one triple. 

The Lasers split games on Saturday against New England College. In their 10-2 win against New England College, Shyanne Raccio pitched 5.0 innings, and Abigail Fortin and Emily Stilwell had three hits each. Sunday will be the second day of the season that the Lasers play matches at home. 

Looking Ahead: 

After the matches with the Lasers, the next doubleheader for the Chargers will be next Sunday at New England College.
