WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HEAD SOUTH ON 89 TO TAKE ON PILGRIMS

New London, NH – The Colby-Sawyer women's basketball team will make the trip to play New England College on Tuesday evening for their third GNAC contest of the season. 

The Chargers are 1-1 in conference and are coming off a 77-52 victory over Dean College at the Hogan Sports Center on Saturday where three Chargers scored double digits. The Chargers have scored 70+ points in two of their last three games. 

New England College is coming off a 61-56 win over Albertus Magnus on Saturday in New Haven, Connecticut. This is the first of two home games this week for New England College. 

The Chargers: 

  • Tanner Drury (Bethel, VT) – The sophomore guard scored 20 points on Saturday, making six shots from beyond the arc. 

  • Catherine Chick (Glen, NH) – The junior forward is coming off a season-high 14-point performance. 

  • Lauren MacDonald (Tilton, NH) – The sophomore guard scored 14 on Saturday and is averaging 10.3 points per game. 

The Pilgrims: 

  • Jayden Estrada – The junior guard scored 16 points in the last game and is averaging 10.9 points per game. 

  • Camryn Lewis – The junior forward is averaging 11.3 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game. 

  • Mackenzie MacDonald – The senior guard is coming off a 10-point performance on Saturday. 

The Historical Matchup: 

The Chargers won the matchup last season at the Hogan Sports Center. This will be the 45th all-time meeting between the two sides. 

Looking Ahead: 

After this one, the Chargers will begin a three-game home stretch, starting with playing Elms on Saturday.
