CHARGERS HANDLE BLUE JAYS IN CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH

West Hartford, Conn. – The Chargers women's tennis team traveled to the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday for a CNE conference matchup.

Rapid Recap:

The Chargers won the doubles point highlighted by Sky Jara (South Hamilton, Mass.) and Avery Nielsen (Thornhill, Ontario) winning at #2 Doubles 6-1.

Payton Dugan (Vincennes, Ind.) won at #1 singles, winning consecutive sets 6-4 and 6-2.

Isabella Gutierrez Avendaño (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) won at #2 singles, winning 6-0, and then 6-2.

Jara, Nielsen, Maria Espinosa Lopez (Merida, Mexico), and Callie Valeri (New London, N.H.) would all win their respective matches, helping to win 7-0 in total.

The Chargers return home to play Gordon College on Tuesday at 3:30pm for CNE conference play.
