Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

CHARGERS SECURE DRAW AGAINST KEENE ST UNDER THE LIGHTS

New London N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Keene State under the new lights at Sally Shaw Veitch field on Tuesday night. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Maddy Minckler (Claremont, N.H.) took the first shot of the game for the Chargers in the 14th minute. Both teams had opportunities to score in the first half, but it was the defending that took center stage in the first 45. 

  • Just under 10 minutes into the second half, Lauren Ardolino (Milford, Conn.) opened the scoring for the Chargers, putting the home side up 1-0. 

  • 12 minutes later, Elisabeth Tschudin tied things up after being assisted by Allison Kenyon and Kylie Rapoza. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • Tuesday night marked the first game under the Sally Shaw lights for the Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team. 

  • 4 different Chargers took shots including Minckler, Ardolino, Lauren McKee, (Littleton, N.H.) and Emily Lloyd. (Milford, N.H.) 

  • Gabriela Calidonio (Flager Beach, Fla.) played all 90 minutes and made 2 saves for Colby-Sawyer. 

Post Game Press: 

"Working with my team and communicating, just working off them and trying to find the back of the net", said Ardolino after scoring her 4th goal of the season and helping the Chargers on both sides of the ball in the 1-1 draw. 

Up Next: 

The Chargers take the field next on Saturday at Kelsey soccer field, when they face the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) for a 3:30pm kickoff.
