PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team traveled to Plymouth to take on the Panthers Wednesday afternoon. The Chargers would pick up win number one of 2025, while making head coach
Emily Dewdney the program's all time winning coach.
Rapid Recap:
- The Panthers would kick off the scoring in this one behind a goal from Katie Porrello. Taylor Gaudette (North Conway, N.H.) would knot the game at one early in the second quarter for her first goal of the season.
- Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, N.H.) would give the Chargers the lead just thirty seconds into the second half marking her first goal of the season. Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, Maine) would pick up the assist, bringing her to two on the year so far.
- A pair of Chargers would pick up their first collegiate goals in the fourth quarter to bring the lead to 4-1. Mikayla Thornton (Lebanon, N.H.) would clock her first career goal at the 49:10 more. First Year Zoe Dries (Windham, Maine) would pick up her first collegiate goal at the 53:21 mark on an assist from Farquhar.
- The Panthers would get their second goal of the day from Sarah Adamske right before the end of the game to make the final score 4-2.
Inside the Numbers:
- Four different Chargers would score in the winning effort, while they also outshot the Panthers 15-8. Brooke Farquhar would also pick up two assists to bring her season total to three on the young season.
- Head coach Emily Dewdney would pick up her 64th win as the Chargers coach, making her the programs all-time leader in wins.
- Ashlee Blashock (Lebanon, N.H.) would pick up 4 saves in net, bringing her total to 33 already through 3 games of the season.
