CHARGERS RETURN HOME TO TAKE DOWN THE SHARKS

New London, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team were triumphant on Wednesday as they beat Simmons 2-0 at Kelsey Field. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Six minutes after kickoff, Sydney Ledoux (Bolton, Conn.) put the Chargers up 1-0. Ledoux would continue the pressure by taking two more shots in the following three minutes. 

  • Gabriela Calidonio (Flagler Beach, Fla.) would make three saves, and the Chargers would take five more shots in the first half. 

  • Lauren McKee (Littleton, N.H.) and Maddy Minckler (Claremont, N.H.) would both take shots early in the second half. In the 67th minute, Ellie Smith (Plymouth, Mass.) took a shot that hit the crossbar, and it would be Minckler who would slot the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2-0. 

Inside the Numbers: 

  • The Chargers earned 11 corner kicks on Wednesday. 

  • Ledoux's goal makes it her fourth goal of the season. 

  • Minckler scored her third goal of the season. 

  • Calidonio made three saves during the conference win.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday for Senior Day and will host Elms for a 3pm kickoff.
