SCHENECTADY, NY - The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team traveled to New York Wednesday afternoon to take on Union College in their regular season finale before gearing up for the GNAC tournament this weekend.
Rapid Recap:
- Union would strike first halfway through the first quarter as Lily Durivage would make it 1-0. The Chargers would have opportunities to tie in the quarter as they would take three shots, landing one on net.Â
- Union would add two more in the second period to add some insurance before halftime, while the Chargers still tried to add themselves to the scoreboard with a couple more shots in the quarter.Â
- The Chargers would get on the board in the fourth quarter thanks to Brooke Farquhar (Gorham, Maine) scoring the teams first goal of the game on an assist from Taylor Gaudette (North Conway, N.H.).
Inside the Numbers:Â
- Addy Araneo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) would record 18 saves on the day, a season high for her during her time with the Chargers.
- Brooke Farquhar would record her 24th goal of the season, and would become the programs career record holder in points with 108.
- Taylor Gaudette would record her 3rd assist of the season.
