New London, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team took on Emmanuel College for Homecoming on Saturday. 

Rapid Recap: 

• The Chargers fought in the first set and had an early 12-8 lead. The Saints would take a 16-14 lead. Kamryn Brakemeier (Fort Worth, Texas) recorded a kill, and Bree Bacon (Brookline, Mass.) recorded an ace as the Chargers tied the game up at 16. Both teams would continue to have successful spells, but the Saints would end up winning the set. 

• The second set would see Emmanuel take an 11-9 lead. Claire Rocky (Sherman, Conn.) recorded a kill to help the Chargers build a comeback, but Emmanuel would take the second set. 

• The Chargers would start the third set off strong, taking the lead with a score of 9-5. Rocky recorded two more kills, Brakemeier recorded one kill, and Madison Sinatro (Simsbury, Conn.) recorded an ace for the Chargers in the remainder of the set. Emmanuel would win the third set. 

Inside the Numbers: 

• Leah Barlow (Bourne, Mass.) recorded her season-best of two blocks on Saturday, as well as leading the Chargers in blocks. 

• Bacon led the Chargers in two categories, recording 19 assists and 8 digs.

The Chargers will continue GNAC conference play on Tuesday as they head to Vermont to face Norwich University at 4pm
