BOSTON, MASS. – The Charger women's tennis team picked up a convincing 7-0 win on the road against Emerson College on Sunday afternoon. The win against the Lions improves the Chargers record to 4-1.

- The Chargers swept the doubles, claiming the opening point with first doubles featuring senior Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) and first-year Skylar Jara (South Hamilton, Mass.), as well as second doubles sophomore Maria Espinosa Lopez (Merida, Mexico) and senior Isabella Gutierrez (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) dominating in their match, 's each winning 6-1.
- In singles action, first-year Avery Nielsen (Thornhill, Ontario) had a solid performance at the number five singles winning 6-1, 6-0 while sophomore Payton Dugan (Vincennes, Ind.) cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the number one position. The Chargers continued their dominance in singles action winning at the number two, three, four, and six positions to solidify the 7-0 victory.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday as they travel to Weston, Massachusetts to take on conference rival Regis College with a 12 PM start time.
