Chargers Secure 1-1 Tie Against Regis

WESTON, MASS. - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team secures the draw against conference opponent Regis College on Saturday afternoon.

Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers recorded four shots in the first half of Saturdays match up while Regis recorded five shots. Chargers goalkeeper Gabriela Calidonio (Flagler Beach, Fla.) registered three saves in net to hold Regis to zero goals and go into halftime with a tied game.
  • Regis found the first goal of the game early into the second half to take a 1-0 advantage. Senior captain, Halle Pletzer (Barre, Vt.) scored her first goal of the season to tie the game. The Chargers continued to put on the pressure after finding the equalizer with more shots from Pletzer, and Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) to try and secure the win. The Chargers also got shots from Junior Lauren McKee (Littleton, N.H.) and Grad student Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) to put the pressure on.
  • The Chargers also continued strong keeper play in net by Calidonio who came up with multiple saves in the effort to secure the tie against Regis as she tallied five total saves.

The Chargers return home on Wednesday September 25th as they take on New England College with kickoff starting at 4PM.
