New London, NH - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team picked up their second conference win of the season defeating Saint Joseph's College (Maine) Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 2-1.
Rapid Recap:Â
-   The Chargers came out on the attack early as they look to take the advantage. The scoring opened up with Senior Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) picked up her 5th goal of the season and 41st of her career. This goal inches her one step closer to the all-time career record of 44 goals set by Adrienne Bender (2010-13). The Chargers would take the 1-0 lead into halftime
- The Monks came out trying to find the equalizer as they were attacking the Chargers defense early and often to start the second half. It was the Chargers Graduate Student Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) who gave the Chargers some insurance on assists from O'Connell and Freshman Maddy Minckler (Claremont, N.H.) picking up her first collegiate assist.
- The Monks would find a way to score their first and lone goal of the game in the 62nd minute to cut the game to a 1 goal deficit. The game would be held at a score of 2-1, as possession switched back and forth around mid field for most of the second half as the Chargers defense held their ground from allowing the Monks an equalizer.
- Gabriela Calidonio (Flagler Beach, Fla.) got the win in net as she recorded 4 saves off 11 Monks shots to help lead the Chargers!
