BOSTON, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team ended their season on Tuesday falling to Emmanuel by a 18-5 final in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semifinals. 
Rapid Recap:
	- Junior Soph Kuhlthau (Cheshire, Conn.) kicked off the game quickly for the Chargers with a free position goal to give the visitors an early advantage. The Saints would respond after five minutes as Livia Fedele evened the score. Emmanuel would take a 3-1 lead into the second quarter with two goals in the final 33 seconds to capture the momentum. 
 
	- The second quarter belonged to the Saints scoring the first five goals in the period led by Avery Robillard who had two goals and an assist in the run. First year Rose Finlayson (Hopkinton, N.H.) finally ended the run at the 6:27 mark of the second quarter, but the Saints tacked on two more goals to lead 10-2 headed into the second half. 
 
	- Sophomore Cecilia Ponzini (Windham, N.H.) kicked off the third quarter with a goal assisted by junior Heather Hanson (Barnstable, Mass.). After a Saints goal, Hanson added a free position strike of her own as the score was 11-4. The Saints rallied scoring the last three goals of the period to hold a 13-4 lead with 15 minutes to play. 
 
	- Graduate student Sydney Stevens (Laconia, N.H.) added the fifth Charger goal of the night with 12:59 to play. Emmanuel would close things out scoring the final four goals to earn the right to play for the GNAC championship. 
 
Inside The Numbers:
	- The offense was led by Hanson who tallied a goal and an assist to go with four grounders and a caused turnover. Ponzini registered one goal and three ground balls. 
 
	- The defense was led by first year Emily Weagle (Clinton, Mass.) who had two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Junior Hannah Himes (Williston, Vt.) added two caused turnovers of her own. 
 
	- Junior goalkeeper AJ Paton (Exeter, N.H.) tallied nine saves in the loss. 
 
	- The Chargers committed 13 fouls in the loss while only taking 12 shots in the game.
