HOPKINTON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer men's cross country team competed at the NCAA DIII North East Regionals where they took on 38 of the schools in the region while racing to a 28th place team finish.
Rapid Recap:
- GNAC runner of the year Cody Thompson (Dunnellon, FL.) was the first Charger across the line, finishing in a time of 25:37.52, best for 23rd overall
- JJ Masterson continued his great first year with the Chargers crossing the line second for the team in a time of 30:29.26
- Marty Steucek (Ashburnham, Mass.) was not too far behind, crossing as the third Charger with a time of 30:55.49
- John Platti (North Granby, Conn.) was the fourth Charger across the line in a time of 33:23.11
- Hayden Goyette (Epsom, N.H.) rounded out the scoring for the Chargers crossing the line in 34:36.46
Inside the Numbers:
- Thompson's 23rd place finish is a program record as he ran his way to the first ever All-Region award as well for the men's side.
- The team totaled 756 points in the meet
