LEXINGTON, KY - Over the weekend at the 2023 Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) National Championship Horse Show, Colby-Sawyer equestrian head coach Pam Payson was announced as the 2023 IHSA National Coaches Sportsmanship Award recipient. 

Payson just concluded her 20th season at Colby-Sawyer and finished up her first full year as the IHSA Zone 1 Region 2 Regional President. This season the Chargers equestrian team had a successful season finishing at IHSA Regionals in third place, while also winning the Team Challenge Cup. The Chargers also had one rider make it to Zone Finals in 2023.
