Women's Soccer Comes to Draw 0-0 Against Regis

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team came to a draw Wednesday afternoon 0-0 against GNAC opponent Regis.

Rapid Recap: 
  • The first half was a battle between the two teams, with shots early from Regis's Colleen Curran and the Chargers junior forward Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.). The teams would continue to exchange shots with senior Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) and junior Halle Pletzer (Barre, Vt.). The Pride would register one more shot from Janet Amasa-Titus before the period would come to an end.
  • Senior Kara Keiper (Peterborough, N.H.) would kickstart the second half with a quick shot on goal to be saved by the keeper. The Chargers would hold the pressure with O'Connell ripping a shot from just outside the box, Pletzer getting a shot off on target and sophomore Lauren McKee (Littleton, N.H.) attempting to roll one under the keeper with no avail. The half would come to an end with a shot on goal from Bishop, and a high flying shot from the Pride.
Inside the Numbers:
  • O'Connell, Bishop, and Pletzer led the offense with two shots a piece.
  • LeBreton earned the tie, and shutout with one save registered on the evening.
  • The Pride held a 9-8 shot differential with the Chargers holding a 4-1 on target advantage.
Up Next: 
The Chargers will travel to New London, Conn. to take on Mitchell on Saturday October 7th with a 1:00 PM start.
