NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team came up with the win Saturday afternoon celebrating their senior day.
Rapid Recap:
- The Chargers struck early against the Blazers with senior Sam Bishop finding the back of the net off of a header, from a corner kick taken by fellow senior Kara Keiper (Peterborough, N.H.). Five minutes later sophomore Lauren McKee (Littleton, N.H.) found the top of the net from a beautiful cross from junior Bridget O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.). Bishop would find another opportunity to score shortly after but would be turned away by the keeper. The Blazers would find the back of the net off of a chip shot which lobbed over graduate student Alexis LeBreton (Bangor, Maine.). The remainder of the first half would stay in the midfield.
- The Chargers would find the first opportunity in the second half with Keiper taking the first shot, and O'Connell firing the next shortly after to be rejected in the box. The Blazers would look to respond firing shots of their own, but LeBreton shut down all opportunities with saves. O'Connell would get the final shot of the game missing just to the right.

"Today was a big day for our team holding on to an important win and fighting for 90 minutes," said senior
Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.), "It was exciting to be recognized as a senior with Kara and the team made it so special for us! We are excited for our final regular season game on Monday at Lasell!"
Inside the Numbers:
- Bishop and McKee led the offense with a goal a piece.
- O'Connell and Keiper each tabbed an assist.
- LeBreton played the full 90 with three saves and recording one goal against.

The Chargers will travel to Lasell on Monday October 23rd with a 3:30PM start.
