Chargers Defeat Saint Joseph's (Maine) in 2023-24 Debut

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team held its first meet on Friday night picking up a 62-44 victory over the Saint Joseph's (Maine) Monks.

Rapid Recap:
  • Sophomore Parker Hilton (Hudson, N.H.) led the way winning the 200 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle, and the 100 yard butterfly events. Hilton's standout performance came in the 100 yard butterfly winning at a time of 58.89.
  • Sophomore Tristen Leys (Minot, ND) added victories in the 100 yard freestyle, 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard breaststroke. Leys had an impressive comeback win in the 100 yard breaststroke winning at a time of 1:12.09.
  • Sophomore Michael Gordon (Plaistow, N.H.) added two silver medals in the 100 yard backstroke and the 50 yard freestyle.

"Not best times but for sure solid swims for this early in the season", said head coach Christina Baudis. "It was a GREAT meet, great to see the spirit of all swimmers on deck and really fast finishes. You can tell that our focus on details in practice has paid off! Proud of everyone! Go Chargers."

Up Next: 
The Chargers will head to Keene State next weekend to take part in a dual meet on October 21st with a 1:00 PM start.
