FRANCONIA, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer men's alpine skiing team returned to the slopes over the weekend finishing in 14th at the UNH Carnival at Mittersill Alpine Resort.
Rapid Recap January 27th (Giant Slalom):
- Junior Chesley Smith (Stowe, Vt.) led the Chargers with a 1:09.75 time in his only finished appearance.
- First year Brandon Leitner (Truckee, Calif.) was next with a time of 1:10.69, while First year Benjamin Neeves (Gig Harbor, Wash.) rounded out day one with a 1:11.09 time.
Rapid Recap January 28th (Slalom):
- In the Slalom on Saturday the Chargers secured 10 points on the men's side. Junior Jared Marshall (Denmark, Maine) led the way finishing in 44th with a combined time of 2:08.83 good for five points.
- Senior Finn Husband (Elk Rapids, Mich.) was next with a combined time of 2:10.62, scoring three more points. Neeves rounded out the scoring with a time of 2:14.53 which gave the Chargers two points.

The Chargers will be back in action on February 3rd and 4th in the Saint Michael's College Carnival at Smuggler's Notch Resort.
