NEWRY, Maine – The Colby-Sawyer men's alpine skiing team finished off their first carnival of the 2023 campaign finishing in 14th place.
Rapid Recap January 12th (Giant Slalom):
- First year Jackson Musial (Bartlett, N.H.) led the times for the Chargers with a 1:01.69 in his only finished run.
- Junior Chesley Smith (Stowe, Vt.) was next with a 1:02.38 in his only finished appearance.
- First year Benjamin Neeves (Gig Harbor, Wash.) and junior Jared Marshall (Denmark, Maine) rounded out the Chargers with times of 1:06.96 and 1:09.75.

Rapid Recap January 14th (Slalom):
- After being postponed on Friday the Chargers were back at it on Saturday with the Slalom.
- Colby-Sawyer was led by Musial who finished in 36th place with a combined time of 1:31.47. Jackson's best run was his second with a 45.22 time to help secure nine points for the Chargers.
- First year Brandon Leitner (Truckee, Calif.) scored three points for the Chargers in 48th place after a combined time of 1:36.17.
- Smith rounded out the scorers with a pair of points and a combined time of 1:36.55.

The Chargers will be back in action on January 20th and 21st in the Saint Michael's College Carnival at Smuggler's Notch Resort.
