Chargers Improve in Second Meet Against Regis College

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team were defeated once again by Regis College with a final score of 109-82.

Rapid Recap:
  • First year Parker Hilton (Hudson, N.H.) had two first place finishes for the Chargers in the 1,000 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle as well as being on the winning men's 200 yard freestyle relay team with first year Michael Gordon (Plaistow, N.H.), first year Kadin Braley (Pittsfield, Maine) and first year Tristen Leys (Minot, ND). 
  • Leys secured a first place run at the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.48. Tristen also had a second place finish in the 100 yard individual medley and a third place finish in 100 yard butterfly.
  • First year Travis Pendleton (Webster, N.H.) also had a big day with two personal records in the 50 yard and 100 yard breaststroke events, where he finished in second place in both events.
Swimmer Spotlight:
"I've been working hard this season especially since it is my first time on any swim team", said first year Travis Pendleton (Webster, N.H.). "I managed to cut two seconds off for my 50yd and 100yd Breaststroke races at this meet. I owe my success to my kind and supportive teammates, with extra thanks going out to Mike Gordon, Tristen Leys, and Kelsey Brown for introducing me to this sport."

The Chargers will be back in action tomorrow on January 14th as Colby-Sawyer will travel to Northfield, Vt. to take on Norwich University.
