CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming and diving team battled this weekend in the Snow Flurries Invitational hosted by SUNY-Cortland featuring six other institutions.
Rapid Recap Day 1 L(381-204):
- Senior Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.) clutched a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.89. Brown also secured second place with a time of 2:21.01 in the 200-yard individual medley.
- Senior Mary Steward (Saco, Maine) followed closely behind Brown in the 200-yard individual medley finishing in fourth place with a time of 2:21.92.
- In the 50-yard freestyle, senior Nina Boudreau (Hallowell, Maine) captured sixth place with a time of 26.90.
- Sophomore Lily Stinchfield (Sanbornville, N.H.) competed in the 50-yard freestyle recording a personal best with a time of 28.76.
- The Chargers had five scoring finishers in the 500-yard freestyle which included first year Brandy Lewis (Strafford, Vt.) in sixth place, Boudreau in nineth place, Cecilia LaFlamme (Hatfield, Mass.) in 13th place, Quinn Manion (Wesminster, Mass.) in 14th place, and Julianna DeGray (Chicoppe, Mass.) in 16th place.

Rapid Recap Day 2 L(677-312):
- Brown struck again on the second day of the invitational with another first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly clocking in at 1:01.37.
- Boudreau placed eighth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.93. She was also a member of the 400-yard medley relay along with Brown, Lewis, and Steward placing third in the event.
- In the 200-yard freestyle, Lewis finished with a time of 2:09.39 which was good for fourth place.
- Steward was able to secure a nineth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.53.
- Stinchfield got another personal best in the 200-yard freestyle after finishing the event in 2:21.24, three seconds faster then her previous best.
- LaFlamme competed in the 1,650-yard freestyle clocking in at 23:18.93 to secure a third place finish with Manion following behind in fourth place with a time of 25:18.93.

The Chargers will return to the Knight Natatorium on Saturday, January 7th to host Regis College and Simmons University with a start time of 1:00 PM.
