BANGOR, Maine – The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming and diving team came up short against Husson University on Saturday evening. The Chargers are now 4-2 overall after their 153-126 defeat to the Eagles.
Rapid Recap:
- Senior Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.) had a successful day finishing in first place for both the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.12 and the 100-yard butterfly in 27.39. She also was a member of the Chargers 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay, both of which had first place finishes.
- Senior Mary Steward (Saco, Maine) also had a good day for the Chargers after making two first place finishes in the 50-yard and 100-yard breaststroke events. She placed second in the 100-yard medley with a time of 1:06.00.
- In the 200-yard freestyle, first year Brandy Lewis (Strafford, VT.) finished in first place with a time of 2:07.82. Lewis also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Senior Nina Boudreau (Hallowell, Maine) clocked in at 1:00.18 for the 100-yard freestyle to secure a first place finish for the Chargers.
- In the 1,000-yard freestyle, senior Cecilia LaFlamme (Hatfield, Mass.) completed the event with a time of 13:46.17 which was good for second place.
- First year diver Tess Kjoller (Osterville, Mass.) secured a third place finish in the one-meter diving event with a final score of 139.15.
