NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Chargers field hockey team bounced back from Wednesday's loss with a 7-0 victory over Albertus Magnus College on Saturday.
Rapid Recap:
- The Chargers jumped ahead early as senior Aoife Daly (Harwich, Mass.) continued her stellar year finding the back of the net in the 6th minute to put Colby-Sawyer on top 1-0. The lead doubled in the 13th minute as senior Bella Silva (Danvers, Mass.) tapped home her fourth goal of the season. 18 seconds later the Chargers struck again as sophomore Courtney Larson fired one past the diving keeper to extend the lead to 3-0 after one quarter.
- After a lack-luster second quarter Colby-Sawyer continued their offensive dominance in the second half as sophomore Alyssa Slocum (Windsor, Vt.) tallied another goal on an assist by junior Sarah Babb (South Yarmouth, Mass.). The Chargers grew the lead to five in the 50th minute as Daly finished home her second goal of the day. Just before the end of the game, Colby-Sawyer scored two more goals as Babb and Slocum each found the back of the cage to end the game at 7-0.

"We really focused on those sideline passes and working together as a team", said senior
Caroline Koziol (Waterford, N.Y.). "We came together this week and wanted to get back to focusing on Colby-Sawyer field hockey. Talking and having that support system on and off the field."
Stats & Figures:
- Daly and Slocum led the offense with a pair of goals each. Babb was next with an assist and score, while Silva and Larson added the final goals.
- First year Kate Cochran (North Sutton, N.H.) led the passing effort with two assists.
- Senior Lauren Wilkinson (Lynn, Mass.) started and picked up the win with 15:00 minutes of action. Sophomore Carly Bernard (Swanze, N.H.) finished off the day with the remaining three quarters of work.

The Chargers close out the regular season at Regis College on Wednesday with the hopes of clinching a home Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) playoff game.
