NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer Chargers will once again be hosting the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship after defeating Lesley University by a 5-0 final in the GNAC Semifinals.

Rapid Recap:

• The Chargers cruised to a 3-0 advantage in doubles as senior Emily Hill (Wilmington, Mass.) and sophomore Grace Carpenter (Milford, N.H.) dominated in their match ending in an 8-0 final in first doubles. Sophomore Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) and junior Alyssa Owens (Grain Valley, Mo.) picked up the hardest victory in number two doubles by a 8-4 final. In the third pairing sophomore Isabella Gutierrez Avendaño (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) and sophomore Lily Tria (Westerly, R.I.) picked up a big point winning 8-1. 
• Singles play ended quickly as Hogan picked up a point with a 6-0, 6-0 win in number four singles, while Tria closed things out in a 6-1, 6-0 final in the six singles slot.

The Chargers will look to capture another GNAC title on Saturday October 22nd when Colby-Sawyer hosts Regis College in the GNAC Championship.
