Chargers Seniors Produce 12 Points on Senior Day Victory Over Elms College

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Chargers field hockey celebrated its senior day today with a 6-1 victory over Elms College on Saturday morning. Rapid Recap:
  • The Chargers kicked off the scoring as Sorenson bested Kaitlyn Lynes with a tap in score on a pass from sophomore Courtney Larson (Auburn, Maine). The offense continued for Colby-Sawyer in the first quarter as first year Taylor Gaudette (North Conway, N.H.) finished a shot from Daly to give the home team a 2-0 advantage after 15 minutes of play. In the second quarter it was Daly's turn to score on a feed from Sorenson to extend the lead to 3-0. Elms College responded with a goal in the 18th minute as Victoria Accorsi tallied her second goal of the season on a pass from Ellie Serra to trim the lead to just two scores. Junior Aleah Murph (Portland, Maine) answered in the 22nd minute with a beautiful floater into the back of the cage on a pass from Pollard.
