Women's Tennis Takes Down Simmons, 9-0

Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer College women's tennis team won its match against Simmons University on Wednesday afternoon 9-0.

  • In doubles play, the Chargers #1 pairing of freshman Grace Carpenter (Milford, N.H.) and junior Emily Hill (Wilmington, Mass.) set the tone for the afternoon winning their set 8-6. The #2 grouping of sophomore Lindsay Macdonald (South Yarmouth, Mass.) and freshman Elise Hogan (Duxbury, Mass.) finished their game with a score of 8-1. Finally, the #3 duo of senior Amira Eid (Pelham, N.H.) and freshman Amelia Campanella (Chepachet, R.I.) won their doubles match 8-2.
  • In singles, Macdonald and Hill won both their matches in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). Carpenter and Hogan both defeated their competitor (6-0, 6-1). Eid won her match (6-1, 6-1). Finally, Campanella won her #6 match by a score of (6-2. 6-4).
