PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team squared off against Johnson & Wales for their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game of the season. The Chargers lost 7-0 after a hard fought 90 minutes.

- The Wildcats jumped on the Chargers early with four shots in the first 20 minutes, none of them on goal. Johnson & Wales scored the first goal of the game in the 22nd minute. Sophomore Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) had the lone shot on goal for the Chargers, which was saved by the Wildcat goalkeeper.
- In the second half, Johnson & Wales scored twice in the first 15 minutes to take a 3-0 lead. Freshman Halle Pletzer (Barre, Vt.) had a shot on net that was saved by the Wildcat goalkeeper. Johnson & Wales scored two more times about halfway through the period to make the score 5-0. Two more Wildcat goals capped off the game to make the final score 7-0
