PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team squared off against Johnson & Wales for their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game of the season. The Chargers lost 7-0 after a hard fought 90 minutes.

Rapid Recap

• The Wildcats jumped on the Chargers early with four shots in the first 20 minutes, none of them on goal. Johnson & Wales scored the first goal of the game in the 22^nd minute. Sophomore Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) had the lone shot on goal for the Chargers, which was saved by the Wildcat goalkeeper.
• In the second half, Johnson & Wales scored twice in the first 15 minutes to take a 3-0 lead. Freshman Halle Pletzer (Barre, Vt.) had a shot on net that was saved by the Wildcat goalkeeper. Johnson & Wales scored two more times about halfway through the period to make the score 5-0. Two more Wildcat goals capped off the game to make the final score 7-0

• Junior goalkeeper Alexis LeBreton (Bangor, Maine) finished with 7 saves on the night.
• Colby-Sawyer had nine fouls to Johnson & Wales seven.
