NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team suffered an overtime loss on senior day against New England College. The Chargers end their season with a 1-3 record.

Talia Dinger (Penacook, N.H) led the way for the Chargers on the offensive side of the ball scoring three goals. Seniors
Sarah Morin (Pelham, N.H.),
Jess Tattersall (Keene, N.H.), and sophomore
Sydney Stevens (Laconia, N.H.) each had two goals on the afternoon. Junior
Caroline Tompkins (Marblehead, Mass.) and sophomore
Hannah Marquis (Weare, N.H.) both chipped in with one goal.

How It Happened
- Thirty seconds into the game Morin found the back of the net for her first goal of the afternoon. The Pilgrims scored back-to-back goals of their own to get a one-point advantage. Dinger responded by scoring her first goal of the afternoon which was assisted by senior Briana Couture (South Hadley, Mass.). Minutes later, Thompkins score on a free position attempt, giving the Chargers back a one-goal lead. New England College went on a three-goal run to make the score 5-3 with just under 17 minutes left in the first half. Marquis and Stevens scored two straight goals for the Chargers to tie the game up with five and a half minutes to go. The Pilgrims got one past the Charger goaltender with just over a minute to play to take a one-goal lead into halftime.
- Morin and Tattersall opened the second half with goals on back-to-back possessions to give the Chargers an early lead. New England College stormed back, going on a three-goal run, with the last one finding the back of the net with just under 12 minutes to play. Dinger and Stevens went on a two-goal run of their own to tie the game back up at nine. The Pilgrims got two goals on two straight possessions to make the score 11-9. Tattersall tickled the twine with three thirty left in the second half to bring the Chargers within one of the lead. Dinger scored her final goal of the game with just over a minute to play to tie the game up and send it into overtime.
- In overtime, the Pilgrims gained possession of the ball off of the draw control and scored the game winning goal with just under two minutes to play.
