NORTHFIELD, VT. – The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team won its first match of the season against Norwich University on Saturday. The Chargers started the off going 3-0 in doubles and did not look back, winning four singles matches on their way to a 7-2 victory.

- The Chargers started off by winning the first three double matches of the day. Junior Julius Lowman (Bavaria, Germany) and sophomore Khameron Savatdy (Woodnsocket, R.I.) won 8-4. Freshman Ben Butenas (Exeter, N.H.) and sophomore Griffin Forberg (Fairfield, Conn.) won by the score of 8-1. In the final double's matchup junior Charlie Graffius (Portland, Maine) and freshman Cohl Schusler played some bonus tennis winning in a tiebreaker set 8-7 (7-2).
- In singles, the Chargers No. 1 Lowman took care of his opponent in three sets 4-6, 7-5, 10-2. No. 2 Savatdy beat is opponent in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. No. 3 Forberg, also ended his competitor in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-3. The final Charger victory of the day came from No. 4 Butenas who handled his opponent 6-1, 6-1.
