Women's Swimming and Diving Compete at Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. –  The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming team competed against Plymouth State on Saturday, dropping the meet 132-126. 
 
Rapid Recap: 

The opening event for the meet was the 200 Medley Relay in which senior Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.), and juniors Mary Steward (Saco, Maine), Nina Boudreau (Hallowell, Maine), and  Alyssa Brown (Douglas, Mass.) finished in first place with a time of 2:04.54. 
 
Steward picked up her first individual victory of the day in the 200 IM in addition to senior teammate Lauren Berry's (Dracut, Mass.) win in the 50-yard breaststroke. K-Brown followed along with a win of her own in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in less than a minute. Both Steward and K-Brown collected yet another individual victory, with Steward finishing in first place in the 100-yard breaststroke and Brown in the 100-yard IM. 
 
The final event triumph of the meet for the Chargers was during the 200-yard freestyle relay in which the team of Boudreau, A-Brown, Steward, and K-Brown were featured, finishing with a time of 1:49.42.

This was an unbelievably fun meet. I could not be prouder of how we showed up and who we decided to be when we raced.
 
UP NEXT: 

The Chargers make a splash in their home pool on Saturday, November 6 at 1 pm in the Knight Natatorium.
