Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Chargers Blanked by Lasers 6-0

NEWTON, Mass. – A four goal first half propelled Lasell University over the Chargers on Wednesday afternoon. Colby-Sawyer is now 3-7 overall with a 3-5 record in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), while the Lasers improve to 8-3 and 8-1 in the GNAC. 

Rapid Recap: 

  • Lasell jumped ahead by a pair of scores in the first six minutes as Alyssa DeOliveira found the back of the net both times for the home team.
  • The Lasers added two more goals in the 30th to 38th minutes as Maria Henriquez and Korynne Provenzano each added a score. Senior and reigning GNAC women's soccer goalkeeper of the week Alexis Lebreton (Bangor, ME) stopped a pair of shots in the first half. 
  • Now trailing 5-0 the Chargers marked their first shot of the contest as junior Hannah Marquis (Weare, N.H.) pushed it wide. 
  • Lasell got one more goal of insurance in the 62nd minute to put away the visitors.
Notes & Notables: 
  • Lebreton notched a total of seven saves on the day for the Chargers, while Kyli Swann and Angela Sanzari combined for one save for the Lasers. 
  • Sophomore Sam Bishop (Windham, N.H.) paced the offense with a pair of shots and one on goal. 
They women's soccer team will face off against GNAC opponent, Anna Maria College on Saturday October 16th at 12 PM.
