BIDDEFORD, Maine - January 18, 2020 – Despite multiple season bests and a pool record, the Colby-Sawyer men's swimming team fell on the road at the University of New England, 76-64.
RESULTS
First-year
Max Isley began competition by claiming first in the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:58.42. A short time later, Isley claimed another first-place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.83.
Junior
Garrett Scahill touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.39. Scahill followed up with the top time in the 100-yard backstroke, tying for the pool record in a season-best time of 58.83. With his third victory of the day, the junior took first in the 500-yard freestyle with another season-best time of 5:22.13.
Senior
Tim Gablosky contributed to the men's effort by adding a victory in the 50-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 28.37.
The Chargers will host a double-dual meet next weekend against Gordon and Maine Maritime to wrap up the regular season.
