PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - September 17, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team made the lengthy trip to Plattsburgh State for a non-conference match with the Cardinals on Tuesday evening. Plattsburgh State came away with the 5-0 victory.
Plattsburgh improves to 4-2, while the Chargers drop to 2-5. Colby-Sawyer will resume Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at home on Saturday against Suffolk at 1:30 p.m.
After a scoreless first half, the home team put five goals on the board in the second half to secure a 5-0 victory. The Cardinals received a hat trick from Kirsten Villamaire, which was sandwiched between goals from Emily Frodyma and Claudia Fountain.
Sam Mitchell finished with 15 saves, which is tied for sixth most in a game.
