WESTFIELD, Mass. - December 7, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming team suffered a 178-39 loss against UMass-Dartmouth in a meet held at Westfield State.
RESULTS
First-year
Max Isley swam two season-best times to come away with a pair of individual victories on the day in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles. The sprinter claimed first in the 50 with a time of 23.89 and followed with a winning time of 53.09 in the 100.
Senior
Tim Gablosky touched the wall in third place of the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 31.03. Gablosky later finished second in the 100 with a season-best mark of 1:07.67. To round out an impressive day, the senior swam to third place of the 500-yard freestyle with another season-best of 5:56.43.
Junior
Steven Moody claimed second in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 27.92.
Head coach Connie Kohrs, Jr. was pleased with his team's performance today, saying "The men ripped into a bounty of season bests, supporting their teammates in doing so."
The Chargers will return to the pool on Jan. 11 to host Regis at the Knight Natatorium.
