FRANCONIA, N.H. – January 19, 2019 – The Colby-Sawyer men's alpine ski team competed in slalom racing on the final day of the University of New Hampshire carnival held at Mittersill on Cannon Mountain.

TEAM SCORES
Temps were a bit colder today than yesterday, but the winds lessened. The slalom course was set on the Taft Training Slope. The Chargers finished in 12th place with 19 points.
First-year
Nikos Tziovas (Thessaloniki, Greece) turned in the best Colby-Sawyer result on Saturday. He had a combined time of 1:51.85 after runs of 56.58 and 55.27 to place 29th.
First-year
Benjamin Taber (Sodus, N.Y.) clocked in at 1:00.99 the first trip down the slope and had a 58.91 second-run time to combine for 1:59.90 and place 48th.
Sophomore
Luke Rodarte (Truckee, Calif.) had a first run of 1:22.36, but did not qualify for a second.
Junior
Cody Wilson (Canyondam, Calif.), first-year
Giovanni Lazzari (Mont Vernon, N.H.) and sophomore
Max Wingard (Truckee, Calif.) did not finish the first run.
The Chargers will return to the slopes on February 1 at Stowe Mountain.
