LYNDONVILLE, Vt. - April 22, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer women's lacrosse team won its regular season finale at Lyndon, 26-8, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Sunday afternoon.
Colby-Sawyer wraps up the regular season with an overall record of 9-5 and a 5-2 mark in the NAC. The Chargers have secured a spot in the NAC Tournament and will wait for the seedings and pairings to be released. Lyndon ends its season at 5-7 overall and 1-6 in the NAC.
The Chargers saw 11 different players score a goal on the afternoon and were led by
Nicole Lavigne's six goals.
Briana Couture added five, while
Sarah Morin and
Brittany Ireland contributed three apiece.
Sierra Schuster and
Grace Vosburgh scored twice. Five players added one goal each including
Shae-Lyn Walker,
Bailey Starr,
Molly Mulcahy,
Jess Tattersall and
Allison Piracini. Starr and Lavigne had 11 draw controls apiece.
Lyndon was led by a four-goal effort from Mikayla Hodge. Taylor Cavaliero added three goals for the Hornets.
Kailyn Lapham had 12 saves to earn her 10th career win and move into a tie for seventh place with Heidi Schmidt. Paige Daley had eight saves in the first half for Lyndon, while Amanda Hadley made three stops in the second half.
