Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ORLANDO, Fla. - March 15, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team dropped a pair of close matches to tough opponents to conclude its 2018 spring break trip to Florida. The Chargers defeated Wisconsin-La Crosse 5-4 and the University of Texas-Tyler 7-2. 

Colby-Sawyer goes to 14-3 and is scheduled to play Colby on Sunday at the Boss Tennis Center on the campus of Dartmouth College. Wisconsin-La Crosse improved to 12-3, while Texas-Tyler went to 5-4. 

Senior Ashley Woodside picked up three more wins in two matches for the Chargers. She defeated her opponent at the top flight in the match against UW-La Crosse 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 after teaming with freshman Yashu Yang for a 9-7 win at the top doubles flight. Woodisde then recorded one of the Chargers' two points against UT Tyler with an impressive 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1. She now ranks second in career doubles wins with 65 and slides into second in career singles victories with 55. Her 120 total wins is just eight behind the all-time leader's (Ashlyn Ramsay '16) total of 128.

Senior Lauren Blanchard teamed with Maddy Gemerek at No. 3 doubles for an 8-4 win against UW-La Crosse. Blanchard is fourth in career doubles wins with 57 and her total of 111 career wins ranks third all-time. 

Senior Evelyn Miller won both of her singles matches on Wednesday. She earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at the second flight against UW-La Crosse and followed with a gritty 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 victory at No. 3 to account for one of the Chargers's two points against UT Tyler. With her two wins, Miller climbs into a tie for eighth in career singles wins with 44. She has 96 total wins to rank eighth all-time.
