NEW LONDON, N.H. - January 20, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team was edged by Husson, 101-92, at the Knight Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.
RESULTS
The Chargers began the afternoon by winning the 400 medley relay by almost 20 seconds. The team of
Mason Amitrano,
Steve Moody,
Garrett Scahill and
Tim Gablosky combined for a winning time of 4:19.05.
Moody led the team with three individual wins on the day. He took the top spot in the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:05.11. He then posted a winning time of 57.41 in the 100 freestyle. Moody completed the day with a win in the 50 butterfly in a time of 28.04. Scahill was right behind Moody in the butterfly with a time of 28.07.
Amitrano came away with a pair of victories. He won the 100 IM in a time of 1:02.30. He also posted the top time in the 200 backstroke in 2:14.08. Scahill was the second place finisher in the 200 backstroke in 2:15.37.
Chris Manwaring was the third Charger to win an event on the afternoon. He edged the second place finisher by .04 by touching the wall first in the 200 butterfly in 2:42.62.
The Chargers will host their final home meet of the season next Saturday against Gordon.
