MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - September 27, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team fell at Middlebury, 3-0, on Wednesday evening at Pepin Gymnasium. The Panthers won by scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-12.
The Panthers improve to 9-2, while Colby-Sawyer dips to 4-12. The Chargers will open conference action this Saturday against Castleton and Green Mountain with the matches being played at New England College.
Colby-Sawyer was paced by
Courtney Murray and
Alli Lahiff with eight kills apiece.
Rebecca Straubel led the Chargers with 10 digs, while
Olivia Goodrich tallied a team-high 13 assists to go along with eight digs.
Isabel Sessions paced Middlebury with a match-best total of 10 kills and a .833 hitting percentage. Eliana Schaefer added eight kills, while Becca Raffel chipped in with five kills and eight digs. Emma Walsh handed out a match-high 28 assists to go along three service aces.
