NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 6, 2017 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's tennis team completed its sixth straight undefeated North Atlantic Conference (NAC) regular season and earned the top seed in this year's tournament.

Colby-Sawyer, the five-time defending champions, will host the NAC Women's Tennis Championship Tournament on Saturday, October 7.

Colby-Sawyer finished the regular season a perfect 7-0 in conference play and 10-0 overall. The Chargers will square off against the No. 4 seed, MCLA (4-5 overall, 4-3 NAC), while Castleton (9-4, 6-1) earned the No. 2 seed and will take on No. 3 Husson (6-3, 5-2).

The Chargers defeated all three other NAC Tournament participants 9-0 earlier this season. MCLA, which garnered a first place vote in the preseason poll, will enter the tournament coming off an 8-1 victory over Thomas. The Trailblazers fell to Husson and Castleton by 8-1 scores.

Castleton brings a five-match win streak to New London, which includes an 8-1 triumph over semifinal opponent Husson. The Spartans fell to Colby-Sawyer in last year's semifinals. Husson, which reached the conference finals last season and fell to Colby-Sawyer, enters the tournament after falling to the Chargers last weekend.

The semifinal round will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the winners meeting in the final round an hour after the opening matches are complete. Please note, all dates and times are tentative and subject to change due to inclement weather.

The NAC champion will receive an automatic berth to the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.
