BANGOR, Maine - October 21, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team fell to Husson 3-1 and Maine Maritime 3-1 at Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) quad match hosted by Husson.
The Chargers drop to 11-18 overall and 5-2 in the NAC. Colby-Sawyer earned the third seed in the NAC Tournament and will host sixth seed Green Mountain (5-14, 2-5 NAC) on Saturday in the quarterfinals.
HUSSON 3, COLBY-SAWYER 1 - 25-20, 25-13, 16-25, 25-23
The Chargers were led by sophomore
Naarah Cox. She posted a match-high 16 kills on .316 hitting. Junior
Courtney Murray also reached double digits with 11 kills. She added 12 digs for the double-double. Sophomore
Olivia Goodrich collected 40 assists, while
Nicole Olivieri had a match-high 21 digs.
Morgan Flynn registered four aces and 15 digs.
Alli Lahiff contributed nine kills.
MAINE MARITIME 3, COLBY-SAWYER 1 - 25-14, 14-25, 25-14, 25-18
Cox had nine kills and an impressive four solo blocks and two block assists. Murray added eight kills and eight digs. Flynn tallied four more service aces and 14 digs, while Lahiff hit .417 to finish with five kills.
