Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. - October 2, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's tennis team finished the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) regular season with a perfect record for the sixth season in a row after Monday's 9-0 win over Lyndon.
The Chargers will host the NAC semifinals and finals on Saturday. Colby-Sawyer will play fourth seed MCLA, while the other semifinal will feature second seed Castleton and third seed Husson.
Maddy Gemerek and
Lauren Blanchard combined at the top doubles spot, while
Michelle Lopes and
Christine Hill teamed at No. 2 to each come away with 8-0 victories.
Ashley Woodside improved to 9-0 at the top singles flight with a 6-0, 6-1 victory and moved into sole possession of second place in career wins with 108.
Yashu Yang also stayed perfect at No. 2 with an identical score.
Lauren Blanchard and
Hilary Boucher earned 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
The Chargers also won points at No. 3 doubles, No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles due to forfeit.
