BANGOR, Maine - September 17, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team fell at Husson University 1-0 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener for both teams on Saturday.
Husson improves to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the NAC. Colby-Sawyer drops to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Chargers will host Wheaton on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
Despite Colby-Sawyer holding advantages in shots 27-5 and corner kicks 9-4, Husson was able to put home an early chance 4:34 into the match off the foot of Leah Hibbard.
Sophomore
Abbie Sansoucy led the Chargers with six shots on net.
Kayla Gordon earned the clean sheet by making 17 saves for Husson. Freshman
Sam Mitchell made two stops for Colby-Sawyer.
