Middlebury was led by sophomore Eileen Daley (Hanover, N.H.). She recorded game-highs of 15 points (7-of-11) and 14 rebounds. Sophomore Sarah Kaufman (Boulder, Colo.) added 13 points, while freshman Catherine Harrison (Duxbury, Mass.) grabbed 13 rebounds and collected a game best four assists.

Sophomore Amanda Calvo (South Deerfield, Mass.) was the lone Charger to reach double figures with 12 points. Junior Lexi Iannone (North Haven, Conn.) added seven points and a team best six rebounds.

Calvo opened the scoring with a three pointer and then added another basket after Middlebury's Colleen Caveney (Andover, Mass.) connected on a layup. Trailing 5-2, the Panthers scored 12 straight points and finished the quarter on a 15-3 run to carry a 17-8 lead into the second.

Middlebury scored eight of its 12 points in the paint in the second quarter and finished the half with a 23-15 edge on the glass.

The advantage for the Panthers grew to 20 midway through the third after an Eileen Daley layup. The Chargers then locked in on defense and held Middlebury scoreless for the final 4:48 of the frame. Conversely, Colby-Sawyer scored 10 points in that span capped by a pair of Emmani Robinson (Newburgh, N.Y.) layups to cut the deficit to 10 after three quarters, 37-27.

Colby-Sawyer was able to pull within five points with 1:42 to play, but the Panthers made a few free throws down the stretch to secure the 46-37 victory.
