Seven Chargers Score in 9-0 Win over Johnson State

NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 8, 2016 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's soccer team received goals from seven different players in Saturday's 9-0 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Johnson State.

Colby-Sawyer is now 2-8-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the NAC. The Chargers host Lyndon tomorrow at 3 p.m. Johnson State drops to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in the conference. The Badgers remain in New Hampshire to play at New England College tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.

Junior Emily Martin (Amesbury, Mass.) and senior Lizzie Jorgensen (Manchester, Vt.) led the Chargers with two goals apiece.

The Chargers also received goals from sophomore Shari Rainville (Highgate Center, Vt.), sophomore Abbie Sansoucy (Douglas, Mass.), junior Corrie Hoyt (Lebanon, Conn.), senior Rachel Quaye (Westminster, Mass.) and freshman Molly MacLure (Westford, Mass.).

Quaye, sophomore Amanda Martin (Amesbury, Mass.) and senior Kelsey Campbell (Upton, Mass.) had two helpers apiece.

Colby-Sawyer keeper Marissa Williams (Stoughton, Mass.) got the win and made one save. Johnson State goalie Danielle Schreiner (St. Albans, Vt.) had nine saves.
