Men's Swimming & Diving Hosts Saint Michael's

NEW LONDON, N.H. - November 7, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team hosted its first meet of the season on Saturday.

Saint Michael's College defeated the Chargers 157-95. 

RESULTS

Four different Chargers came away with individual wins on the afternoon. Junior Brett Cayer led the team with two wins. He took top honors in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle in times of 23.12 and 52.00, respectively.  

Sophomore Mason Amitrano won the 100 breaststroke by a comfortable margin. He touched the wall in 1:08.32 nearly three seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

Senior Devin Uhlman had an impressive day with a victory in the 1000 freestyle (11:31.73) and a pair of second place finishes in the 100 butterfly (1:02.06) and the 500 freestyle (5:33.37).

Junior Josh Paszczuk was the fourth Charger to claim a victory at the Knight Natatorium. He won the 100 backstroke in 59.85. Paszczuk also placed second in the 50 backstroke with a time of 27.20.

The Chargers will compete at home for the second straight week when they welcome Elms on Saturday, November 14 for a 1 p.m. start.
