NEW LONDON, N.H. - November 14, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team dropped a close 131-109 decision to Elms College on Saturday afternoon.
RESULTSColby-Sawyer had several great swims against the Blazers which included five individual wins and a team win.
The 200 medley relay team comprised of
Josh Paszczuk,
Devin Uhlman,
Mason Amitrano and
Brett Cayer took top honors with a combined time of 1:47.99 to beat the second place team by almost 17 seconds.
Mason Amitrano followed his great performance as part of the medley relay team by winning the 50 breaststroke in 30.50.
Devin Uhlman also picked up an individual win. He touched the wall in 1:01.11 to earn a victory by more than three seconds in the 100 butterfly. Uhlman also placed second in the 1000 freestyle (11:29.33).
Brett Cayer put together a great afternoon by winning the 50 freestyle in 22.92 and placing second in the 100 freestyle by less than a second at 52.03.
Josh Paszczuk took the top spot in the 50 backstroke in 27.13.
Jameson Ploch rounded out today's winners for Colby-Sawyer. He came away with a win in the 400 IM in a time of 4:55.21.
The Chargers will return to the pool next weekend with a two-day meet at the North Country Invitational host by SUNY Potsdam.
